Virgin Mobile UAE noticed a high drop-off rate during the number selection step in their sign-up flow. To address this, they tested a new approach where users were automatically assigned a random number with the option to change it if desired. The original design required users to choose or transfer a number upfront, while the new variant prominently displayed a pre-assigned number, making it easier to proceed.

Results
